“What does this house want to be?”

All Andy Staszak Interiors projects begin with an in-depth discussion of the client's wants, wishes, and needs and an exploration of how the constraints of space, budget, and time can be creatively managed. Next, Andy formulates his design concept for the project. He begins with a question, “what does this house want to be?” He creates a concept for the project that incorporates the spaces’ “givens” into a cohesive solution. Then, Andy gets to work sourcing fabrics, wall coverings, paint colors, fixtures, and furnishings. All of these initial selections are presented to the client at a First Look Meeting. The entire process is collaborative; Andy presents his solutions for the space via samples,  swatches, and slides and the client reacts. What works for them? What doesn't resonate? Selections are refined or re-imagined until the client is satisfied and the house is fully realized.
