Andy Staszak's approach to interior design is rooted in the aesthetic traditions of the nation's capital but is tempered by a strong infusion of modern elements. Whichever style his clients envision for their project, Andy's fondness for warm colors, layered textures, and clean lines prevails. He believes that the furnishings and accessories in a room should be in conversation with each other, each piece contributing, not dominating, the flow of the room. "If everything is so individual, your eye doesn't  know where to focus," he muses, "pieces compete for the viewer's attention and unique and interesting objects can become lost."

After more than three decades as an interior designer, Andy finds joy in crafting the perfect balance between his clients' practical needs and their stylistic preferences.  How do they spend their days? Do they entertain frequently? Do they work from home?  Will small children or elderly relatives need to be accommodated? Do their quarters need freshening up? A bit more glamour? Andy adds these factors into the equation of the client's style and vision for their home.

Andy has "a natural ability to intuit what a client feels about their home."

“Andy Staszak is a genuine and dedicated interior designer. Working with Andy is not  working; it is a collaboration with both expected and surprising end results."

"We are not sure how Andy holds all the information about your home inside his head so that he knows exactly what it will look like [when it is finished]...but on the day everything gets delivered you will be happy as you see his design brought to life, and six months later after living with it, even happier...We believe his design helped us sell our home in DC quickly and for a favorable price, enabling us to buy our current home in Annapolis. We promptly hired him for that one, too!"
